No,I have not gone insane just was in an extremely light mood today.Hope your second month of this NEW YEAR 2016 is going well? If not,no worries we still have 10 more months to make up to the lost money,love or hope.
Well not deviating more from the topic;today also like every month I am going to review FAB BAG for the current month.This is the last bag of my three months subscription and I am still thinking about renewing the subscription with FAB BAG or choose some other subscription bag to try?
First let’s explore the LOVE & MAKE UP themed,February FAB BAG and then I’ll tell you my final take on renewing the subscription.
IN MY FAB BAG :
CHAMKI NAIL POLISH : (INR150 for 9ml)
HIKARI COSMETICS BLUSH – DESIRE (FULL SIZE: INR1000)
JUST HERBS LIQUORICE SHEA LIP BUTTER BALM (INR345 for 8gm)
VANA VIDHI ORIENTAL PADDY FACE & BODY SCRUB (INR750 for 70gm)
ROOTS PROFESSIONAL MOROCVITA OIL (INR2000 for 120ml)
It’s been 6 months now that I am member of Fab Bag and a major issue I usually find out is the delayed shipping. I received a mail saying there will be some delay in the FEB FAB BAG as one of the essential products has not been received.
However,I have received it as always close to end of the month with 2 beauty and 3 skin care products.Out of which two are four are full size products and one sample.This made me happy,alas!
The FAB BAG QUALITY this time was just okay then the last few bags,I did not like the color much as it was very bright red. A scarlet red would have been a much better choice. They missed on the FAB POST booklet this time I don’t know why.
Let’s check out the products inside.
- CHAMKI NAIL POLISH : (INR150 for 9ml)
Received it as full size product,manufactured in Bangalore.This had a very catchy Indian Name and this is what made me see where the brand is actually from.Moreover there was n FABPOST booklet this time to give some info about the brand.
Anyhow I tried it on.I got this Nail paint in color MEHAK *I have no idea to why they named it so!*. It smelled just like most of the regular nail paint brands.Really strong on,though.
Not my choice of color.I mean I like a bit more darker shade of voilet and if given a chance;will definitely look over this color.Still applied it to show you guys.
First coat was very light on nails. Just sort of purple color tinted nails.
After third coat,it looked like this.
Though,color is not of my choice but yes it dries instantly and last for a couple of days. Nice products overall,if I skip the color for personal reasons.
- HIKARI COSMETICS BLUSH – DESIRE (FULL SIZE: INR1000)
The packaging looked great and very clean. A black clean packaging with a small blush box inside.If you have seen BOBBY BROWN packaging,then this was close enough to that one.
I got the blush in color DESIRE- A bright pink shade.Fab bag has been sending me so many products in shades of pink that I am actually over the color now.
This color by HIKARI is a bright pink and if you know the shades meant for the hollows have no business on the apples,you will love this one!
Apply it on your tired pale face and this can brighten your face and make you look longer,more alert,and playful.
It blends well,highly pigmented and stays on skin close to 8 hours.BUT,the cake broke from the corners after a day of use and without even falling anywhere,I don’t know if I was the only unlucky one!

Don’t know if it is worthy of that price or not but a total Yes for the blending and staying properties.
- JUST HERBS LIQUORICE SHEA LIP BUTTER BALM (INR345 for 8gm)
As the brand says :
A smoothening lip balm made from certified organic beeswax, certified organic cold-pressed oils of Avocado, Safflower and Sweet Almond along with ultra moisturizing Shea Butter. Unlike petroleum jelly and other petroleum derived mineral oils, these natural ingredients not only seal in the lips moisture but also impart additional hydration to coarse and parched lips without clogging pores.
I would agree that this balm is actually better than many other petroleum jellies I have in my kitty. Would not say more,but just this ‘MUST BUY’
- VANA VIDHI ORIENTAL PADDY FACE & BODY SCRUB (INR750 for 70gm)
It was sent in such a worn out packaging that I had to look for an expiry date of the product.Thank God! It was still alive! 😛
Smelled of some real medicated scrub. Though,the content inside has taken shape of a solid ball. It was a turn off to see that.I felt like it had been sent as a FREEBIE to me. Still it works pretty good on skin. But if this is the regular packaging they have then I would spend some extra bucks and buy BODY SHOP scrub.
- ROOTS PROFESSIONAL MOROCVITA OIL (INR2000 for 120ml)
Roots Professional Morocvita Argan Oil, extracted from the Argan seeds is a non-sticky and gets instantly absorbed by hair. Excellent for styling and finishing it can also be used after every hair wash on damp hair. It helps tame frizzy and unmanageable hair and the added vitamins A & E help nourish every hair follicle at the core.
I have been using it for a while now,and I must say I was very excited to receive it in my fab bag as I have a 120 ml bottle on me and this can be handy.
I would say,must try and notice the difference!
I don’t think I’ll subscribe to Fab Bag one more time atleast not for time being. Firstly,I am a little bored with the products as every time I receive scrubs and lipgloss and body scrubs.This becomes a little monotonous as till this time my previous ones are also not finished. There are few great products also which I came across with Fab Bab but for time might try some other subscription box.
Secondly,the bags are delivered pretty late.I almost had forgotten that I have a subscription to one.When I asked the team,they informed me that ‘ONE YEAR SUBSCRIPTION’ people are delivered first and then other orders. I was like ‘REALLY? Aren’t we paying you as well? I got very pissed as this reply was not expected.
Finally,I have decided to call of my subscription and will try some others for a while and will see if same description happens with them as well.
