Styling is the most coveted job these days and with loads of fun, it also holds a lot of responsibilities. There is a relationship of trust and faith involved where the person relies on you to make them look at their best. Recently Marks & Spencer being #expertsinwarmth gave me an opportunity to let people come out of their comfort zone and get styled by me in their exclusive winter wear collection. Style Saturday as they call it, gave me the privilege to be their stylist for a day and advice the walk-in customers about the rights fits, colors, and trends which can enhance their looks.
This high street fashion brand is not just another clothing store instead is seen as an authority on Modern British Fashion. The brand already has a loyal customer base which I could observe during my interaction and feedback received from many of the walk-ins.
The whole purpose behind this STYLE SATURDAY activity was to make the customers leaving the store with more confidence in them. I felt fortunate enough to even meet few of my readers who took out time to meet me in the store and loved, shopped the outfits I chose for them.
Spending a full day with customers and having a fun interaction while styling them gave me a sense of achievement. I was gratified when I could see the walk-ins satisfied with the style tips I gave them turned into the outfits they took home.
The trends spotted at M&S were metallic dresses, subtle sequin detailings, velvet, bomber jackets, ponchos, gorgeous slip dresses and more. Warm shrugs and thigh high boots were to die for. Also, smart formals and party dresses were a must check out. You surely can not miss the winter collection
